The module prepares students for future work in the field of entrepreneurial strategy and market research.
Based on an overview of the most common empirical research methods in economics, regional and social science, the students will work on current research questions in the field of business and economics. In doing so, they learn how to plan and execute an empirical research project. This includes conceptual foundation, the choice of methods and associated interpretation as well as debating strengths and weaknesses of the chosen methodology and its effects on the results and their generalizability.
After having completed the module, the students are able to make their own judgments, to both justify and trust them. As such, this module not only prepares them for responsible (management) positions in companies but also for a future career in science (PhD) or science-related fields
